Documents Required for VISA interview


I'm sure all of you are getting ready for the visa, please read my previous article which has visa tips. You might be worried what documents to take and how to set. Now,i'm giving you pre-visa documents setup.

Buy a file that has partitions in it. You will get color cards to name the partition. Place the documents in the following order.

SET-1

  1. Original passport

  2. DS-160 confirmation.

  3. Appointment confirmation.

  4. Axis bank receipt.

  5. SEVIS fee receipt.

  6. Original I-20(3 pages)

SET-2

  1. B.Tech/UG original memos( semester wise)( not transcripts). PC, CMM. If you are in final year, carry course completion certificate.

  2. TOEFL/GRE/GMAT/SAT Score cards

SET-3

CA Certificates and all connected documents all original. Bank statements, FD's, GPF, Postal savings, Income documents, shares and affidavits.

SET-4

CE certificates and all connected property documents. Photocopies may be carried in case original documents are not readily available.

SET-5

All other documents- 10th, Inter, other I-20's and extra curricular certificates, SOP, Resume, employment documents.

All all the above in the partition file and name them. If the VO asks anything, you should be able to give him immediately.
