Financial Assistance To Indian Students Of Rs.5 Lakhs (Approx.)

The University of Essex launched on Tuesday the 'Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship program in India,' which would provide financial support of up to £5,000 (Approx. Rs.5 Lakhs) to Indian students pursuing a Master's degree in the UK.

Except for the East 15 Acting School, the grant covers all university courses and departments. For September 2022 and January 2023 intakes, they will be accessible.

"Indian students who completed their undergraduate degree outside of India or in the United Kingdom and are self-funding their postgraduate studies may be eligible for the award." The scholarship, worth up to £5,000 (about Rs. 5 lakhs), is paid as a tuition price reduction, according to the university.

The scholarships will be given out on a merit-based basis. Candidates must submit an application, as well as a thorough statement of purpose, academic or professional references, and current English language test scores.

"Applicants do not need to submit a separate application for the academic excellence scholarship, and applications for appropriate courses will be reviewed automatically," the institution noted.

The scholarship is given in the form of a partial tuition fee waiver. Students who intend to study full-time Masters courses leading to MA, MSc, LLM, and MRes degrees are eligible to apply.
